Our Aurora Colorado Dental Services

Patient-Focused Care

As we learn more about the relationship between oral health and overall health, we learn that the health of your teeth, gums, and jaw can give us a lot of insight into the overall function of your body. We have found that poor at-home care can lead to oral infections, tooth decay, and gum disease, which can then cause cardiovascular disease, premature birth rates, diabetes, and osteoporosis. We aren’t telling you this to scare you, but to explain how important your oral health really is.

We offer a number of dental services in Aurora Colorado that take into account this unique balance between your oral health and overall health. We want to help you have a healthy and beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime.

Lifetime of Healthy Smiles

Periodontal (Gum) Services

According to the American Academy of Periodontology, approximately three out of four Americans suffer from some form of gum disease — from mild cases of gingivitis, to the more severe, periodontitis. The early stage of gum disease, gingivitis, is characterized by mild symptoms ranging from red, swollen gums to gums that bleed every time you floss. Gingivitis is completely reversible with non-invasive treatments and proper at-home care; however, if left untreated, gingivitis can progress to periodontitis, a more serious form of gum disease.

In the past, the only way to treat gum disease was with surgery. While surgery is sometimes still the best option, our doctors can treat many cases with less invasive techniques like antibiotics, deep cleanings, and medicated rinses.

We look forward to treating you at our Aurora dental practice!

Sedation Dentistry

We’re committed to helping you receive the treatment you need in a way that makes you feel comfortable. If you’re anxious about your appointment, we invite you to share your concerns with us. We offer a variety of gentle and relaxing sedation methods that can make your dental visit less intimidating.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Nitrous oxide is one of the safest anti-anxiety agents used in dentistry. Because of its mild effects and easy, shot-free administration, nitrous oxide is an excellent way to help you feel more at ease in the dental chair.

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation involves taking a carefully-prescribed sedative shortly before your dental treatment. With just one pill, you will feel significantly calm and relaxed throughout your entire visit at Stonebrook Family Dental. Although you’ll be very relaxed, you will still be awake and able to talk to our doctors. Because the effects of the sedative can linger, we require you have someone drive you home.

At Stonebrook Family Dental, we treat you with the gentle dental care you need. We look forward to taking care of you.
